Come Learn How to Hit Like a Rider Bronc!
Rider Softball will be hosting an in-depth, two-session hitting clinic - a progression of hitting that is designed to advance qualities that all players should work to achieve and excel at to be a great hitter.
This clinic will only accommodate 12 players who will attend both sessions.
The objective is to implement a collective hitting philosophy based on each player's skill-set, athleticism, and learning style, while improving each player's confidence and potential.
*Both sessions will be held from 6:00-7:30 PM. Registrants must attend both sessions.
Session 1 - Thursday, January 24, 2019
Session 2 - Thursday, January 31, 2019
The two-session hitting series will be instructed by Rider's hitting coaches, Shana Treon and Paul Ortega. In their first year as assistant coaches for Rider, the team's offensive output saw significant progress in every category including tripling the runs scored and RBIs from the 2017 season and earning almost 120 more hits and tremendous increases in doubles, triples, home runs, and total bases. The 2018 team batting average remained in the top two of the MAAC conference throughout the season and finished 115th in NCAA Division I in team batting average.
